Brazilian Butt Lift

Brazilian Butt Lift Philadelphia & Montgomery County

The Brazilian butt lift procedure is quickly gaining popularity as more people realize the benefits and possibilities. Brazilian butt lift augments the buttocks with surplus fat taken from another area of the body. The difference between the surgeons that perform this operation boils down to each surgeon’s artistic eye. Dr. Horvath works very hard to see the full potential that each patient has. He will modify their contour through liposuction in some areas, such as the flanks, to accentuate others, and then enhance the buttock with fat injections to sculpt the body into a more complete result. When carefully injected into the buttocks, the fat will improve the area’s shape, fullness and symmetry. The result is a sexy, voluptuous backside and an overall more proportional figure. Dr. David Horvath is the Brazilian butt lift surgeon Philadelphians trust to deliver consistently beautiful, long-lasting results.

Am I a Candidate for Brazilian Butt Lift?

Philadelphia patients interested in the Brazilian butt lift procedure can meet with Dr. Horvath to discuss the procedure and evaluate you as a candidate. Generally, candidates for Brazilian butt lift are individuals who:

  • Are in good physical and mental health
  • Do not smoke
  • Have reasonable expectations of surgery
  • Desire improvement in their buttock contour
  • Understand the possible risks and benefits of surgery

In addition to discussing Brazilian butt lift with you, Dr. Horvath will examine your buttocks and areas of the body from which he can take donor fat. If you are an individual with low levels of body fat, you may not be a candidate for this procedure. Those who are dramatically underweight are not suitable candidates for this procedure. If you are a confirmed candidate who wants to schedule surgery, you will receive detailed instructions about how to prepare and what to expect on the day of surgery and afterward.

Procedural Details

Brazilian butt lift is performed on an outpatient basis. You will receive anesthesia and remain comfortable for the duration of the procedure.

The first stage of the procedure involves harvesting fat from the donor area; this could be the flanks or thighs. The flanks, inner and outer thigh all play a role in the final shape of the buttock. Therefore, harvesting can be done in a way to sculpt areas around the buttock in order to accentuate its final contour. Dr. Horvath will make tiny incisions and liposuction the fat away with a special cannula. Then, the fat will be purified and prepared for re-injection. Finally, Dr. Horvath will inject the fat into strategic points of the buttocks (mostly the upper quadrant) to add shape, volume and “lift.” After he’s finished, he will place a support garment around the buttocks to support the new contours as they heal.

What is the Difference Between Brazilian Butt Lift & Implants?

A Brazilian Butt Lift uses fat taken from other areas of the body to augment the buttocks. A second procedure, butt implant surgery, enhances the shape of the buttocks through the use of silicone implants. The BBL procedure is capable of creating a more natural and attractive curve. Patients can also reduce the risks of infection since it’s their own body tissue being used to enhance the size.

What Will My Recovery Be Like?

All Montgomery County patients will receive comprehensive aftercare instructions that include information on both the donor area (where Dr. Horvath removed the fat) and the buttock area.

One of the challenges of Brazilian butt lift recovery is that you will need to avoid prolonged sitting for a few weeks, as this could damage the transplanted fat. You will need to sleep on your side or stomach, and sit on a pillow or cushion placed between your legs to avoid putting too much pressure on the newly grafted fat. You should also wear your support garment until Dr. Horvath advises you remove it.

Dr. Horvath will follow up with you to check on your healing progress and advise when it is safe to return to work, exercise and other normal activities.  In general, you will need to avoid any strenuous activity or movement while your body recovers.

Brazilian Butt Lift Results

After recovering from surgery, you will enjoy a fuller and more voluptuous buttock. As an added benefit, the donor area will look slimmer and firmer.
